OFFICER'S MESS, MUARA, Tuesday, 29th December 2020- Certificate and award presentation ceremony was held today to recognize Ship's Commanding Officers, Officer of the Watch and Rules of the Road Master at the Royal Brunei Navy's Officers' Mess

Present as the Guest of Honour during the ceremony was the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili, senior officers and officers from the Royal Brunei Navy. Also present were RBN Senior officer and Officers.

The Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy presented the Command Badges to three Commanding Officers namely Lieutenant Commander Pg Hj Khairul Anwar bin Pg Dr Hj Abu Bakar, RBN, Lieutenant Commander Mohd Nabil bin Jalil, RBN, and Lieutenant Hasmalie bin Awang Hj Ahmad, RBN. The ceremony was followed by presentation of ship's Commanding Officer Certificates to Commander Saiful Hazril bin Ali, RBN as Commanding Officer of KDB DARULEHSAN, Lieutenant Commander Pg Mohd Faren bin Pg Mohd Noor, RBN as Commanding Officer of KDB DARUSSALAM, Lieutenant Commander Malek Fadillah bin PDJLD Col (B) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Kefli, RBN as Commanding Officer of KDB DARUTTAQWA and Lieutenant Aliashim bin Alias as Commanding Officer of KDB AFIAT.

The Commander of RBN also presented Officer of the Watch certificates to seven young officers who have shown the ability and sound knowledge of keeping watch on RBN's ship after assessment by their respective Commanding Officers.

The Rules of the Road Master was conferred to 1234 Lieutenant Junior Grade Adi Fakhri bin Johari, RBN as a recognition to his outstanding results for his exams throughout the year.

The event concluded with a recitation of the Doa Selamat by Ustaz Haji Mas Ismandi bin Hassan.

A separate event was also conducted at the Royal Brunei Navy Warrant Officers, Chief Petty Officers and Petty Officers Mess for the presentation of Landing Craft Coxswain Certificates to 11449 WO2 Dahlan bin Wahid, RBN and 13551 WO2 Mohamad Ariwan bin Mohamad, which was also presented by the Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy.
