MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday, 07 August 2020 – The Officer Under Training Course Intake 18, that started on the 29th May 2020, officially come to an end early today at the Naval Training Center (NTC), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Muara. Present as the Guest of Honor was Yang Mulia Captain Norshahrinizam bin Haji Talib, Fleet Commander. Also, in attendance were Commanding Officers, RBTS and RBN Officers, NTC teachers and the Officers of Intake 18.
The Closing ceremony started with the recitation of surah Al-Fatihah and followed by a speech from the RBTS Senior Instructor, Yang Mulia Commander (R) Pg Omaralli bin Pg Jaya Indera Pg Hj Moktar Puteh, where he featured that the students had the option to get a handle on and appreciate the base of essential things or understanding the idea of navigation, seamanship and communication. It proceeded with an appreciation speech from the student representative as well as the overall best student of the course; Lieutenant Junior Grade Ak Az-Zubair bin Pg Masri, on the movement and accomplishment of the program. The fulfillment of this course stamps one of the numerous means in the advancement of these youthful officials as able Naval Officers and goes about as a fundamental establishment for their future. The course remembered exercises for Navigation, Seamanship, Communication, Warfare and Fire Fighting and Damage Control. The Guest of Honor presented certificates to the course members and complimented all the students for their hard work and devotion towards the course, and underscored in his speech that this is only the start of the intake's progression as Naval officers. He additionally added to improve and engage ourselves spiritually for better guidance. The closing ceremony concluded with a token of appreciation to the Guest of Honor and a group photo session with all the course members and the distinguished guests.
