ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY CELEBRATES KORBAN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH HARI RAYA AIDILADHA 1441H

MUARA, Tuesday 04 August 2020 – In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidil Adha 1441H celebration, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) held a korban ceremony at Surau Al-Huda, RBN. A total of two buffaloes and one goat was sacrificed. Also present during the slaughtering of live animals was Commander of RBN, First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaili @ Suhaily, RBN.

The ceremony continued with the distribution of meat at the Warrant Officers', Chief Petty Officers' and Petty Officer's Mess. The ceremony was officiated with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and the recitation of takbir Aidil Adha.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Fleet Commander, Captain Norshahrinizam bin Haji Talib, RBN. Also in attendance were Senior Officers, Officers and RBN personnel as well as the recipients under privileged citizens living in the vicinity of the Muara Camp area.

Apart from performing good deeds and religious obligations, the purpose of this ceremony is also to build closer ties among officers and personnel of the RBN and to gain a better and harmonious working environment. Hence, it is also to create awareness to look after our neighbors especially those in need.
