BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 26 December 2019 - The Royal Brunei Navy organized an orienteering competition to prepare for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Orienteering Competition which will be held in the first quarter of 2020.

The competition was organized by Lieutenant Junior Grade Md Akhmal bin Md Akbal, RBN, and held at Bukit Sipatir, Kampong Subok. The contestants are provided with only with a map and a compass, as the objective of the competition was to challenge the participants' navigational skills and fitness.

Four teams competed in the event namely Armada A, Armada B, Pangkalan A and Pangkalan B. Armada A emerged as the champion whilst Pangkalan A placed second and Armada B placed third.

A fun hike was also organized, led by the Guest of Honour, Captain Norshahrinizam bin Haji Talib, RBN, Acting Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy. The competition concluded with a prize-giving presentation by the Guest of Honour.
