MUARA, Friday, 4 October 2019 – The Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) today received a high-level delegation led by His Excellency Teo Chee Hean, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security, Republic of Singapore who is currently in the country for the 7th Young Leaders’ Programme.
Upon his arrival, His Excellency was welcomed by First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaily @ Suhaily, Commander of the RBN.
Also present were Ms. Grace Fu, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth; Mr. Masagos Zulkifli Masagos Mohamad, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs; and Mr. Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Defence.
During the visit, His Excellency was first briefed on the RBN’s roles, operations and structure before proceeding to a ship tour aboard KDB DARUSSALAM.
The visit ended with a High Tea hosted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence at the RBN Officers’ Mess.
The Young Leaders Programme is an annual interaction platform for Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore leaders (Cabinet ministers) intended to build rapport and foster excellent bilateral relationship between the two countries.
