HIS MAJESTY THE SULTAN AND YANG DI-PERTUAN OF BRUNEI DARUSSALAM MADE A WORKING VISIT TO THE RBAIRF AND RBN

RIMBA AIR BASE, Monday, 30 September 2019 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam made a working visit to the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) at Rimba Air Base and the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) at Muara Camp today.

Upon arriving at Rimba Air Base, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at Hanger A, Rimba Air Base. 

His Majesty then proceeded to view RBAirF aircrafts and also toured RBAirF units including the Domestic Supply Squadron, Ground Support Equipment, Signal Squadron as well as No.7 Wing, RBAirF. 

At the air base, His Majesty visited other infrastructure including RBAirF barracks and Dewan Punai. 

From Rimba Air Base, His Majesty proceeded to visit RBN at Muara Camp. Upon His Majesty’s arrival at Muara Camp, His Majesty visited Sekolah Rendah Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei. The school operates both day and afternoon sessions, and are currently attended by 208 students in the morning session and 223 students in the afternoon session.

His Majesty then went to several infrastructure at Muara Camp including the Naval Training Centre; Married Quarters for Officers, Senior and Junior NCOs; Cookhouse and Barracks. 

His Majesty also toured the Shiplift Bravo, Syncrolift Alpha and Vanguard Logistics Store. 

His Majesty ended his working visit attending a luncheon at the RBN Officers’ Mess with the officers and personnel of the RBAF.
