KDB DARUTTAQWA ARRIVES IN CHANGI NAVAL BASE AFTER COMPLETING SEA PHASE OF ADMM PLUS EXERCISE

CHANGI NAVAL BASE (CNB), REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Monday, 13 May 2019 – Yesterday evening, KDB DARUTTAQWA had safely arrived at Changi Naval Base, Republic of Singapore after a 12 day's journey from Busan, Republic of Korea and completing the sea phase of ADMM Plus Field Training Exercise 1 and 2 (FTX 1 & 2). Yesterday afternoon, KDB DARUTTAQWA had participated in the last serial for the ADMM-Plus EWG on MS FTX 2 which was Compliant Boarding onboard MV AVATAR. Participating units include boarding teams from INS KOLKATA, KDB DARUTTAQWA, ROKS WANG GEON and RSS STALWART. KDB DARUTTAQWA safely came alongside CNB in the evening at 2047H.

The closing ceremony of ADMM-Plus Expert Working Group (EWG) on Maritime Security (MS) was conducted this evening, Monday, 13 May 2019, at the Fleet Command Building Auditorium RSS SINGAPURA, Changi Naval Base. Present as guest of honour was Lieutenant General Melvyn Ong, Chief of Defence Force (CDF) of Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). Invited guests during the closing ceremony dinner include all Commanding Officers, officers and men from participating ships and observers.

This marks RBN's effort in establishing itself as a reliable regional maritime partner in and participation in both bilateral and multilateral platforms.
