Captain Pengiran Mohamad bin Pengiran Haji Damit, was born on 09 March 1971 currently holds the Deputy Commander of Royal of Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and assumed the position on 19 April 2019. He joined the Royal Brunei Navy as an Officer Cadet on December 1991. He was commissioned in 1993 and was given the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
During his service, he held numerous command appointments from Commanding Officer of Coastal Patrol Crafts (CPC), Missile Gun Boat (MGB) and Patrol Vessels (PV). Ships commanded by him included KDB PEJUANG, KDB WASPADA and KDB DARULAMAN. He was appointed as Commanding Officer of Training Wing on 02 August 2010 until 2011. He was then appointed to Commanding Officer of KDB DARULAMAN and given the privelege to bring KDB DARULAMAN to Brunei on her maiden voyage from Germany. After 2 years, he reassumed his role as Commanding Officer of Training Wing before being appointed as Fleet Commander on 02 March 2015 and Head of Inspectorate Unit on 27 January 2017.
Throughout his career, he has undergone various courses abroad such as International Sub Lieutenant, International Officer NBCD 17, and International Principal Warfare Officer Courses in United Kingdom. He successfully completed International Long Navigation in 2000 and attended 130th Basic Manpower Officer in Singapore 2001. He also received Bridge Resource Management Certificate in 2004 and Inter Leadership & Globalization in 2005. In 2009 he attended 38th PN Staff Course. In 2016 he attended Malaysian Armed Forces Defence College Course in Malaysia. He also attended courses locally such as Range Management Course (RMC).
